Your shortlist stays yours.

Doorstep stores your Google account identifier, verified email and display name, plus the places and preferences you save. It does not ask for access to Gmail or Google Drive.

Private lists, shared facts

Your shortlist and settings are available only through your account. The person running Doorstep manages the database and backups. Public government data and school catchment figures are shared; only the owner can change catchment figures.

Delete your account

Use Account → Delete my account to remove your list, preferences and active sessions. The owner account is managed on the host computer. Older backup copies rotate out as new backups are made; up to seven successful daily copies are retained.

Availability and help

This app runs on a personal computer. It may be unavailable while the computer is asleep or offline. Google handles sign-in, Tailscale provides the HTTPS connection, and external data services receive the location queries needed to show results.
